BrightFish Reading is a research-based online program for grade 2 through high school that enables struggling learners to become independent, active readers. Students move from decoding fluency through vocabulary usage and comprehension strategies while reading high-interest text in an environment that is engaging and motivating. Getting started in BrightFish Reading is the first step toward building the skills and confidence for independent reading. Teachers can introduce and augment the online instruction for younger students, individuals and small groups who need additional support. BrightFish Reading Data Chat Guides
Using data from students’ work in BrightFish Reading is an effective way to monitor their progress and deliver targeted remediation. Reports in the BrightFish Teacher Dashboard offer trend and error data in fluency, vocabulary and comprehension skills. Teachers can utilize Data Chat Guides to provide remediation based on the errors that students are making in each skill area.
