Please run the following checklist items on a student workstation to ensure your students can access BrightFish Learning.

Step 1: Make sure you are running the latest version of your browser. We officially support the following browsers:

Chrome (latest) – recommended browser

• Microsoft Edge (latest). Please note that Internet Explorer 11 or below is NOT supported.

• Safari 13 (latest)

• FireFox (latest)

• Silk browser for Amazon Fire HD

JavaScript and Cookies ARE required.

Flash IS NOT required. Java IS NOT required.

The minimum resolution for your computer screen should be 1024 x 768 (landscape mode for tablets).

You will see a message similar to the sample shown below.

Step 2: Test your website speed. Your download speed should be at least 10Mbps for optimal performance.

If the speed test fails, the website may be blocked by a firewall. If this is the case, try running the speed test from Google:

Step 3: Ensure your school can access multimedia files. Can you play the video below? Your firewall or computer must be able to access vimeo.com for this to work.


Step 4: Can you hear the following sound? Your firewall or computer must be able to access https://*.brightfishlearning.com for this to work.


Step 5: Can you see the Google Chart below? Your firewall or computer must be able to access google.com/jsapi/* for this to work.


Step 6: Can you see the following image of a bowl?

Step 7: Can you see the Chat widget? This is required for access to our Support staff for teachers and administrators. Your firewall or computer must be able to access *.tawk.to for this to work.

Step 8: Can you see the "Hello, World!" message?
